Support for political prisoners
We have been working with local partners to promote human rights in Belarus since 2009. We provide comprehensive support to current and released political prisoners.
Particularly well known is our solidarity campaign #WeStandBYyou, which has its roots in 2011. Since then, we have been arranging godparenthoods for Belarusian political prisoners with members of European parliaments. However, due to the ongoing massive repression in Belarus, the scale of the current campaign, which has been running since 2020, far exceeds anything we have seen before.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to support political prisoners in Belarus, as the authorities are trying everything they can to break solidarity. Nevertheless, there are still ways in which you can support these people even from abroad!
#WeStandBYyou: Godparenthoods for political prisoners in Belarus
We have launched the solidarity campaign #WeStandBYyou to support political prisoners and their families. As part of the campaign, several hundred MPs have already taken over a godparenthood for a prisoner in Belarus.
Medical aid for released political prisoners
We support victims of state violence who need special assistance on their road to recovery. With donations and third-party funds, we organise medical treatments for released political prisoners in exile.
