We are organizing a workshop to paint tote bags with Ukrainian motifs on the anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars. Vybiyka is a traditional Ukrainian technique in which patterns are printed onto fabric using wooden stamps. All paints, stamps, tote bags and necessary tools will be provided.
You can also bring your own items to print on (e.g. cotton bags or T-shirts). The fabric should be cotton, denim or suit fabric and should not have a coarse texture or coating (leather, velvet, sequins or fur are unsuitable).
The event will be held in English and Ukrainian, and admission is free. The event is funded by the Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt.
