Their voices have been silenced. Yours hasn’t. Because where freedom is absent, every word matters.
In Belarus, at least 900 people are imprisoned for political reasons. Behind every number is a person with their own story, hopes and dreams, and loved ones waiting for their return.
As part of Berlin Freedom Week, the NGO LIBERECO – Partnership for Human Rights invites you to show solidarity with political prisoners in Belarus.
At several letter- and postcard-writing stations, LIBERECO will introduce some of the prisoners and share their personal stories. Visitors can write their own postcards or sign pre-written ones. For anyone unsure what to write, sample messages with translations will be available on site.
Because even the smallest gesture can make a big difference. Where freedom is absent, every word matters. And sometimes, solidarity begins with a single postcard.
Participation is free of charge. No prior knowledge or special language skills are required. Everyone is welcome!
The campaign will take place before, during and after this event: https://tinyurl.com/hohenschoenhausen
