Mobile clinic for Kupjansk

Together with X-Traverse, the mobile clinic brings medical care to remote villages around Kupjansk, where people have no access to health services due to the destroyed infrastructure.

Initial situation

Initial situation

The region around Kupiansk in eastern Ukraine has been heavily affected by Russia’s full-scale invasion. Shelling and damaged infrastructure shape daily life in many communities. A large share of medical facilities have been destroyed or forced to close. For the region’s approximately 30,000 residents, only one hospital and one pharmacy remain operational. At the same time, public transport has completely collapsed.

In remote villages, many elderly people, chronically ill patients and persons with limited mobility remain without access to medical care. Without functioning transport options, they cannot reach health facilities.

Our goal

Our goal

Our goal is to ensure continued access to basic medical care for people living in villages around Kupiansk. Through mobile medical services, we reach communities where medical infrastructure has been damaged or is no longer accessible. This enables medical examinations, consultations and the distribution of essential medicines.

How we help

How we help

Together with our partner organisation X-Traverse, Libereco operates a mobile clinic that visits remote villages in the Kupiansk region.

The medical team brings essential diagnostic and treatment services directly to people in their communities. These include:

  • ultrasound examinations
  • ECG diagnostics
  • medical consultations
  • distribution of urgently needed medication

In 2025, the medical team reached 16 villages and provided care to more than 2,600 people.
