Open Call for Ukrainian Illustrations: Ukrainian Regions, Through Your Eyes

After the wonderful response to our 2026 Ukraine Solidarity Calendar, we call for applications for LIBERECO’s 2027 Ukraine Calendar. And once again, we want to create it with you.

The concept is personal: 24 oblasts, individual perspectives.
Each region of Ukraine has its own unique landscapes, stories, rhythms and memories. We want to see these through the eyes of the artists who know them best: those who grew up there, found refuge there or still carry them in their hearts as a home.

What we’re looking for
Illustrations dedicated to a Ukrainian oblast to which you feel a personal connection. You choose the region. You choose the story. Show us your Ukraine, whether it’s the courtyards of Chernivtsi, the steppes of Kherson, the wheat fields of Poltava or the mountains of Zakarpattia.

We welcome illustrations (incl. digital art and collages) as visual styles. The selected works will feature in our 2027 calendar and possibly other donation based-merchandise, which will be sold through LIBERECO’s donation shop. All proceeds go towards our humanitarian action in support of Ukraine!

Who we’re looking for
Ukrainian artists of any age, background, or career stage whether you’re an established illustrator or just beginning to share your work publicly.

How to apply

You’ll be asked to:

• Select the Ukrainian region(s) that you feel most connected to and you’d like to illustrate
• Share a link to your portfolio: an Instagram handle, personal website, or Behance/ArtStation link is perfect

No finished artwork is required at this stage, as we are making an initial selection based on portfolios. We encourage artists from previous calls to submit their artwork.

Selection of Artwork and Compensation
Following the application deadline of 30 May 2026, a total of 12 artists will be selected and invited to produce an illustration. Selected applicants will be contacted directly and provided with the full project brief, including technical specifications, the assigned thematic area (oblast), and detailed information regarding compensation.

A fee of 200 EUR (including VAT) will be paid per completed illustration. Please note that only selected and commissioned works will be compensated; submissions that are not selected will not receive compensation. At the same time, you keep all rights to your artwork and are free to use and publish it further in any way you wish.

Натхненні великим інтересом до нашого Календаря солідарності з Україною 2026 року, ми оголошуємо новий набір заявок для календаря LIBERECO на 2027 рік. І знову хочемо створити його разом з вами.

Ідея проєкту дуже особиста: 24 області України, кожна очима окремого митця. Кожен регіон України має свою неповторну природу, історії та спогади. Ми хочемо побачити їх очима тих, хто там виріс, знайшов прихисток або й досі називає це місце своїм домом.

Що ми шукаємо

Ми шукаємо роботи, присвячені тій українській області, з якою ви маєте особистий зв’язок. Ви обираєте регіон та історію. Покажіть нам свою Україну — чи це двори Чернівців, степи Херсонщини, пшеничні поля Полтавщини або гори Закарпаття.

Ми вітаємо ілюстрації (зокрема цифрове мистецтво та колажі) в різних візуальних стилях. Відібрані роботи увійдуть до календаря 2027 року, а також можуть стати частиною іншої сувенірної продукції, яку ми продаватимемо через онлайн-магазин LIBERECO. Усі зібрані кошти підуть на нашу гуманітарну діяльність на підтримку України.

Кого ми шукаємо

Українських митців будь-якого віку, бекграунду та етапу кар’єри — неважливо, ви вже знаний ілюстратор чи тільки починаєте показувати свої роботи.

Як подати заявку

• Оберіть одну або кілька українських областей, з якими ви відчуваєте найбільший зв’язок і які хотіли б проілюструвати.
• Надішліть посилання на своє портфоліо: підійде Instagram, особистий сайт, Behance чи ArtStation.
• На цьому етапі не потрібно надсилати готові роботи — ми робимо перший відбір саме за портфоліо. Ми також заохочуємо митців із попередніх відкритих конкурсів подати свої роботи ще раз.

Відбір робіт і гонорар

Після дедлайну подачі заявок — 30 травня 2026 року — ми оберемо 12 митців, яких запросимо створити ілюстрації. Відібрані учасники отримають запрошення та детальний опис проєкту: технічні вимоги, закріплену за ними область і всю інформацію щодо гонорару.

Гонорар становитиме 200 євро (з ПДВ) за одну завершену ілюстрацію. Зверніть увагу: гонорар виплачується лише за роботи, що були офіційно замовлені та прийняті до проєкту; заявки, які не будуть відібрані, не оплачуються.
