LIBERECO remembers its founding member, Ina Jacoby

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our friend and long-standing colleague, Ina Jacoby. She was one of the founding members of LIBERECO, served as Vice Chair from 2009 to 2016, and continued to support our organisation as a member right up until the end.

But Ina was not only involved in voluntary work at LIBERECO. Even during her student days, Ina was active in the Bonn university group of Amnesty International and campaigned passionately for human rights, democracy and the rule of law, as well as for those facing political persecution in Belarus. Together with other former members of the Bonn Amnesty university group, Ina founded LIBERECO in 2009.

On 2 June, following a long and serious illness, Ina passed away peacefully at the age of 44. We shall cherish the memory of her energy, zest for life and drive with deep gratitude.
